Finally I feel safe in saying we have come to the best season of the year, the Fall. We got tastes of it here and there in early September only to have a dreaded 80 degree day rear its ugly head. While I understand why many people enjoy the Summer, it lost it’s luster for me once I stopped having off from school for 3 months. Sweating my way to work in Manhattan during a 90 degree day is not enjoyable by anyone’s standards. Oh, you think it is? Liar. Yeah you, you lie.

With the Fall comes Football, new TV, cooler relaxing weather, seasonal Oktoberfest beers, Halloween, Thanksgiving, fresh apples, baseball playoffs (for those who still care) and pumpkins. I can think of no better time during the year than when Autumn starts through the beginning of Winter and the holiday season. What does the Summer give us? Heat. No good holidays, nothing to watch on TV. Heat.

Speaking of football, I’m 1-2 for my Jets picks for the season and I couldn’t be happier. My over/under picks for the season, however? Not so dandy.

Here’s to a 2 month long Fall season that doesn’t turn bitter cold too fast.

With what I am considering to be the final nail in the coffin that holds the 2009 New York Mets (that being an unassisted triple play to end a game,) I am now washing my hands of that mess and moving on to what will hopefully be greener (‘gang’, yeah, I’m a riot) pastures.

I’m not sure why I’ve never done this before, but I’m going to take a stab at what I think their record will be at the end of the 2009 regular season, along with where I believe the wins and losses will come from.

Monday, January 4th should be comical.

Week 1 @ Houston - L (0-1)
Week 2 New England - L (0-2)
Week 3 Tennessee - W (1-2)
Week 4 @ New Orleans - W (2-2)
Week 5 @ Miami - W (3-2)

I just spent the last week of my life in Tampa, FL. Other than having an inability to sleep and being trapped in the convention center for the vast majority of each day, it was nice to get out of the New York area for awhile. I’ll be uploading a full Tampa photo set in the near future, but for now I have uploaded daily pictures to project365 on Flickr.

This is a bottle of BRENNIViN that my roommate brought back from his trip to Iceland. Looks like Scope and he said it doesn’t taste all that different. All I know is I’m a sucker for foreign liquor and it looks very classy in this picture.

Yesterday, at the last minute I decided to buy a ticket off of some kid from Craigslist to go see Jimmy Eat World play Clarity in it’s entirety at Terminal 5. This show did not disappoint. Unfortunately the Canon PowerShot SD880 IS point-and-shoot that I had on me did. The camera is terrible in low light situations and as slow as can be. I guess I’ll have to install the hacks and see if that helps any.

The picture above is one of the only halfway decent ones that I was able to shoot. Luckily, there were people in there who brought much better cameras and even some who got HD footage of some of the songs.

19 days strong on my year long project of taking at least one photo every single day for at least 365 days. I’m pretty happy with the output so far, but the hope is that they get much better as time goes on.

I recently stumbled on a photography site called Photojojo. There are some great ideas for photography projects on this site, one of which was taking one picture a day, everyday, for a year. The goal is to always look for something new and interesting each day which will invariably make you better at taking shots and more familiar with your camera. This will get harder as time goes on since I’ll have to constantly look for new and interesting shots, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. I’ll post the best ones here, but they will always link back to the full album on Flickr. Feel free to post comments on Flickr or on Facebook.

Just to put some context to today’s photo; yes, there was a surprise clown at the Super Bowl party I went to. Yes, he mad balloon animals. Yes, some people got their face painted. No, I did not post any pictures of everyone enjoying the clown while I was busy screaming at the TV.

Interesting, yet useless fact that I read today. ‘If the Washington Redskins win their final home game just prior to the election, the incumbent party wins. This has proven true 18 out of 19 times, and this year, the Redskins play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.’

I don’t remember this working so well for John Kerry 4 years ago (Green Bay 28, Washington 14).
